Help & FAQ Center
Your guide to Valorant mouse math, hardware optimization, and VCT competition formats.
1. What is the purpose of VALODATA?
VALODATA is the intelligence layer for competitive Valorant. We aggregate live match scores, team standings, player stats, crosshairs, and professional settings into a unified, dark-themed surgical interface designed for deep analytics. We serve as a comprehensive analytical wiki rather than a simple forum.
2. How is mouse eDPI calculated?
Effective DPI (eDPI) is calculated by multiplying your physical mouse DPI by your in-game sensitivity (eDPI = DPI × Sensitivity). For example, if you run 800 DPI with a 0.35 in-game sensitivity, your eDPI is 280. eDPI allows you to compare true sensitivity directly with other players regardless of what physical DPI settings their hardware uses.
3. What is the standard sensitivity conversion between CS2 and Valorant?
The conversion factor is approximately 3.18. To translate CS2/Apex Legends sensitivity to Valorant, divide your CS2 value by 3.1818. To translate Valorant sensitivity to CS2, multiply by 3.1818. This matches the physical mouse rotation distance required to execute a 360-degree turn in the respective game engines.
4. How do I import crosshair codes in Valorant?
Go to Settings > Crosshair > Primary in Valorant. Locate the 'Import Profile Code' button (represented by an icon with an arrow pointing down into a bracket) next to the active profile selection dropdown. Paste the crosshair string (e.g., '0;P;c;5;o;1;d;1;z;3...') and click Import.
5. What does 'Raw Input Buffer' do in Valorant settings?
Raw Input Buffer bypasses Windows desktop mouse processing APIs and fetches inputs directly from the mouse drivers using raw input APIs. Enabling this setting minimizes input latency (input lag) and provides a more responsive aim. It is highly recommended if your mouse supports a polling rate of 1000Hz or higher.
6. What are the most optimal graphics settings for competitive play?
Professional players prioritize frame rate (FPS) and visual clarity over detailed graphics. Enabling 'Multithreaded Rendering' is critical if your CPU has multiple cores. Turn off V-Sync, Vignette, Bloom, and Distortion to eliminate input delay and visual noise. Keep material, texture, and detail settings on Low to highlight opponent player outlines.
7. How do VCT Championship Points work?
Championship Points are awarded to teams for regional stage performance and international Masters placements throughout the year. They serve as a qualification mechanism for the year-end tournament, Valorant Champions, rewarding consistent high-tier performance across the entire season.
8. What is the difference between Rank Rating (RR) and Matchmaking Rating (MMR)?
Rank Rating (RR) is your visible competitive division (e.g. Diamond 2). Matchmaking Rating (MMR) is a hidden value representing your true competitive skill tier. The system adjusts RR gains and losses dynamically based on how far your visible rank is from your hidden MMR, actively pulling you toward your true skill range.
9. How often is the pro settings database updated?
The settings database is updated weekly. We monitor player streams, official VCT matches, and community submissions to keep DPI, sensitivity, crosshairs, and hardware peripherals accurate.
10. How can I suggest corrections to settings or lineups?
Each player settings page has a 'Suggest an Edit' button at the bottom. You can fill out the form to submit correct settings, which are reviewed by our editorial team before going live.
